MADRI
Simbolo di fertilità cosmica; dai tempi più antichi la madre mediterranea, indiana,
greca, africana o preistorica, costituisce una radice poetica e misteriosa della nostra
più remota cultura antropologica.
La madre è simbolo dei legami familiari ma è anche portatrice di guerra, in difesa
aggressiva di quegli stessi affetti.
L’arte dei nostri giorni si riproduce per partenogenesi, come un ermafrodita; più libera
ma orfana di quel liquido amniotico, protettivo e nutriente, prodotto per amore
da questa mitica fattrice che guida le sorti del mondo.
La nostra è così una generazione di orfani anarchici che affermano in forma tautologica
la propria visione dell’Arte e della Storia.

MOTHERS
Symbol of cosmic fertility; from the earliest times on record, the Mediterranean,
Indian, Greek, African or prehistoric Mother has been a poetic and mysterious root
of our remotest anthropological culture.
The mother is a symbol of family ties, but also the bearer of war, aggressively defending
those same affections.
Nowadays, art reproduces by means of parthenogenesis, as a hermaphrodite; it is
now freer, but bereft of that protective and nutritious amniotic fluid: the product of
the love of this legendary creator who guides the destiny of the world.
Ours is thus a generation of anarchical orphans who tautologically proclaim their
vision of Art and History.
